Telemedicina Rizzoli S.p.A. (TMR)
TeleMedicina Rizzoli S.p.A. (TMR) is a network service provider specialised in tele-medicine. It is another example of public/private partnership with a minority shareholding held by the "number one" centre of excellence for orthopaedics in Italy (Istituti Ortopedici Rizzoli, a public research and teaching hospital) and a majority stake in the hands of private investors. The Company, incorporated in 2000, has the mission to develop the market for telemedicine in Italy and abroad. In the framework of the project, TMR will provide the technical expertise in support of tele-consulting and will operate the telconsultation service.
